Ken Buckles, organizer of the 2007-2009 Oregon Military Hall of Fame and author of the Remembrance book series covering over 200 diverse PNW veterans, shares stories of veterans inducted into the OMHoF and from his time bringing guest veterans to over 40 schools as part of his Remembering America’s Heroes program. Willie Paradise, part of the Underage Veterans of Military Service, and Bill Chisholm, part of the Chosin Few Oregon chapter, will also be here as well to share their stories.

Bring a picnic lunch or snack and sit along the shaded Quartermaster Storehouse porch (or bring your own lawn chair or blanket) as Ken and guest veterans share stories of Oregon’s own. Enjoy a melody of mid-century wartime period songs performed by Malinda Buckles, organizer with Ken of the OMHoF USO-style shows. And don’t forget to check out the Remembering America’s Heroes – Veterans hummer vehicle honoring Vietnam War veterans.
