Meet local author Susan Tate Ankeny as she introduces her book American Flygirl and the story of Asian-American Oregonian and WWII WASP aviator Hazel Ying Lee.

Join us at the Oregon Military Museum (OMM) as Susan introduces her recent book, her journey, and Hazel’s story. Questions welcome as part of the event’s Q&A and book signing. Copies of American Flygirl will be available for purchase in OMM’s Museum Store, as well as youth picture book The Fearless Flights of Hazel Ying Lee by Julie Leung.

OMM’s Historic Park will be open 11am-3pm, featuring the Quartermaster Storehouse, Battery A Field Artillery Horse Barn, and outdoor tracked vehicles display. All are welcome to visit the Park before and after the OMM Speaker Spotlight. The Museum, its Historic Park, and all programs are free to the public.
