Experience history in motion as we showcase modern military vehicles, equipment, and technology alongside their historic counterparts. This year’s focus is on the “Modern Era” (1990s-2020s), highlighting the more recent service of veterans from the Gulf War through 9/11 to the present day. See up close the technology and equipment used by today’s Oregon National Guard (Army and Air), who continue to shape and serve Oregon and the Nation.

Explore how the US Armed Forces have fueled troops in battle and on the home front. From pre-1900 recipes and WWII rations to modern storage and present-day rituals, join us for a day all about food. Invoking a July 4th-style picnic atmosphere, participants and visitors are encouraged to make or bring food samples to share that may celebrate a specific era, time while in service, a cultural group in Oregon, or foods native to the region.
